I recommend you start keeping very careful records - keep a diary of things done and said, it may come in handy later. Stopping by at 6am to scream at you about paying for someone else's car will NOT look good on the MIL if it comes up at a later time. Anything he does, or she does, keep track of it - phone calls, letters, email, whatever. Get yourself a lawyer, if you can, and find out all your rights. I have a feeling that getting child support out of this man will be difficult, so it can't hurt to start planning now.

My SIL recently arrived home after visiting her sister in hospital to find that her fiance had a house full of people, all busily moving her things out to the curb. I'd contact the CBA (if you are in UK) and ask your rights over the car and the mortgage in fact, you have rights and you need to make sure he doesn't have an easy life. Piece of sh*t
