Body trying to miscarry

I was 6 weeks pregnant last thursday. On the tuesday before I started bleeding. It was red and fresh and I because I'd had an ectopic before I assumed it was another one or a miscarriage. Went to see my consultant for an early scan on thursday and she said my body was trying to miscarry but the sac and bean were in the right place still. As the blood by then was more brown than red and not so flowing she said I may be ok but should be wary as my body may continue trying to miscarry. Has anyone else been through this and managed to keep the baby?

Oh honey, i hope thats not the case. I did bleed at 6weeks but that was after sex, and i had a scan and an examination and all is ok! I'm now 10+1.
I hope all works itself out.

I am trying not to stress and stay relaxed, but having waited 2 years (am 37 so time marching on) since my ectopic to get pregnant its frustrating.
Thanks for all your lovely wishes.
