I'm Currently Feeling: | Appt. tomorrow...not really happy! Tomorrow is my first appointment at the OBGYN and yesterday I got a call saying they moved my time from 9AM to 10PM (which i am happy about hehe i can have an extra hour of sleep!).
SO I decided to ask what i can expect from the appointment! You know, will i get an ultrasound and find out an 'actual' EDD? What! I was so excited! The lady just said "expect it to be long, paperwork, talking, and they might do an internal to check for a heartbeat IF you're far enough along" ...
thats it?! MAYBE have an internal (which i don't want, errr) IF i am far enough along?! Christ's sake i am 12 weeks! You can use a freakin doppler to check for a heartbeat! And they said they will discus future appointments and ultrasound dates.
Now don't get me wrong, that's great BUT it took me OVER A MONTH to wait for "the soonest appointment available" for tomorrows appointment, I am afraid "future appointments" will also be atleast a month away because that place just seems so busy, so pack full...
I was looking forward to finally seeing and maybe getting a picture of bubs...waited so long for this...only to know I wont do anything but filling out papers and talking...
tell me it'll be better than i think! |

Honey... when they realize how far you are along they should do an ultrasound, don't you think? Maybe they were just thinking you were not as far as you are, right? Chin up, Honey! I am sure it will work out! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Since you are already 12 weeks, I would imagine they will do a dating u/s. My first appt was at like 8 weeks and that was lots of paperwork, but the next appt when I was 10+5 they did an u/s.
Honestly tho, until I was 27 weeks, I only went approx once a month. After that it bumped up to every 2 weeks and at 35 weeks it went to once a week. Its normal to go monthly for most of the pregnancy. Good luck at your appointment, I hope it goes well!! =) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Awwww hun
Best thing to do is just wait and see what they say .... if they dont do an ultrasound today, ring the ultrasound department when you get home and pester to try and get one sooner, you dont want to be stuck 4 weeks behind everything waiting for appointments!! |
