I'm Currently Feeling: | 'Tricked' into being pregnant I was wondering, apart from a missed miscarriage, is there any other way that your body could let you get all the way to your first scan (or 12th week) and still have you thinking and feeling pregnant only to find out you're not?
I've had a missed m/c in the past, but it wasn't discovered until a good few weeks after, but my body still felt and behaved as if it were pregnant. I guess now we've been given another shot at it, I'm a little anxious about things this time round. Any feedback would be much appreciated. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Neecee (your avatar is making me hungry!)...
I too had a missed m/c previously, but have found that this pregnancy has been different and made me realise that the 'signs' I had with the missed m/c, probably indicated things weren't going well. Like, with the m/c I only had a few days of nausea and nothing bad but with this one from 6 wks I felt sick all day long. Also my boobs were sore more with this pregnancy than the m/c. Almost like the hormones are stronger maybe in my current pregnancy???!! BUT... some women never get many symptoms anyway! So if you're one of those I can understand you thinking 'what's different this time?' WIll your GP send you for an early scan? If not, could you consider getting a private scan done - just for peace of mind? It'll be worth the money!!!!! I did that.
It's so hard to relax into a new pregnancy after a m/c!!! Remember that there is more chance you'll have a happy and healthy pregnancy than the liklihood you'll encounter another m/c!!!!!
Anxieties will be there, but once you have some more symptoms or get to that reasurance scan you'll start to enjoy things. Promise! xxxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I too had a missed m/c, and was totally convinced it was going to happen again. I booked a early private scan that put my mind at ease. I still worry when I get 'period' type pains. I dont think im going to stop worrying until i hear LO screaming and even then ill have new worry's. If you can get the money together then i would recommend a private scan, its a great feeling peace of mind
Good luck

. | Hun I dont think it will do you any good to have such thoughts. Getting answers to that question will only make you worry more. I think you just have to trust your body and how you feel. Im sure everything is fine. Hugs. |

Oh, I'm not going to go and sit in a corner fretting! I'm passed that stage now - I'm more in the frame of mind that allows me to think 'whatever happens, happens'. But I'm definately the sort of person who likes to be aware of every possible outcome. The first time round I never even blinked at the thought of m/c, but I guess now I know it happens, I'm a lot more aware of what my body is doing and I'm just curious to know if there are any other causes/reasons for things not necessarily working out the way one would hope.
Thanks for the concern though spelbound! |
