I'm Currently Feeling: | starting to freak out, any advice please About an hour ago when I went to the toilet there was brown/pinkie stringy mucusy blood, only when I wiped (sorry TMI) next time I went there was nothing. I keep wondering if I am going to start cramping and it will get worse. Is that the only time I go to the docs?? I am 6 weeks at the mo and it took me 14 months to get here so i am so scared! Got to go and see the midwife at my GP surgery on wed morn to register for the hosp and stuff, am wondering now if I am even going to make it til then! | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya, yes, most medical places wont see you unless you are cramping and bleeding - either symptom on their own aren't enough to warrent investigation. Which I see as a positive sign for you chick!
Lots of women have spotting in pregnancy for various reasons, sometimes implantation - where the embryo is burowing deep down into your womb lining.
Why not take the opportunity to do as little as possible and keep an eye on it. I'm sure it will be fine and will settle down.

I'm Currently Feeling: | If there's red blood along with cramps then contact your Midwife straight away. If it's only when you wipe, And is only brown (old blood..) without any cramping at all, then your fine. It's completely normal too get " Spotting " at the beginning. I wouldn't worry hunni. But I know how you feel, it's scary. |

| Oh good. I was worried there. Brown indicates old blood I've heard. Just keep an eye on it, try to relax and if you develop cramping go to the hosp. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Firstly, congrats on your BFP!
Try not to worry chick, light spotting is so common in the early days. It could be implantation bleeding or just breakthrough bleeding if it's around the time you would normally expect your period.
If you can see someone tomorrow to reassure you then fab but Wednesday is pretty close!
I had to go to the dr cos of bleeding and spotting and she said that unless it's as much bleeding as a period or if there are cramps then there isn't really very much they can do.
I know that it's the most scary thing in the world right now but chances are that you'll be fine
Hope that everything fares well! |
