Fake Tan?

Such a silly question, but is it safe to use fake tan when you are pregnant?? I have heard yes and no but just wondered what you all thought?

I think it depends on the particular tan, see I do holistics at college and someone on my course is a lvl 4 beauty therapist, and she said no for the 1st 3 months, so I dunno sweetie. Maybe research the particular brand online?

i've asked this before. i'm a fake tan addict!! if you do a search, the thread will probably come up. i think the outcome was that there was no evidence to suggest that the fake tan hurt in any way. i can't put it on my tummy anymore though, it just feels wrong!!!

Maybe they're not allowed to do it for insurance purposes? I know we're not allowed to do holistic treatments in the first 3 months to be on the safe side? so maybe it's for the insurance?

im a therapist... i get lots of ladies ask this question, i am also pregnant and becoming rapidly pale. Sunbeds are a no no for radiation. Spray tans are also a no no in the first 3 months, due to the hormone change in your body you will come out all patchy and look awful and usually you will blame your useless therapist for doing a rubbish job lol when actually its not their fault.

After that its up to you, theres no proven facts to say its harmful.

i would say perhaps use the creams, such as johnsons after the first 3 months. Im going to try a cosmetic rub in tan maybe st tropez... so ill let you know x
