I hadnt really had anything that had up until just now, I was preparing dinner, we were gonna be having thai green curry until i opened the jar and smelt it and i nearly threw up so were not having that now, hubby has stopped off at the shop on the way home and im hoping we can have either korma or tikka instead, hes bought 2 so i can decide when he gets in.

ive had the odd feeling abit queasy if the bin smells slightly but i can still empty it which is something i couldnt do with my 1st

How about everyone else?

Ginger. My stomach was queasy, and all we had in the house was a natural nausea remedy that turned out to be candied ginger. I opened the packet, the smell hit my nose, and I threw up everywhere - it was really quite amazing how fast the reaction hit.

Other things that have had a similar, if less spectacular effect:
- swallowing vitamins (any large pill)
- the smell of tinned cat food
- the smell of cigarette smoke on someone's shirt
- the smell of roses (real or artificial, like a candle)
- garlic (just the smell makes me sick)
- hot dogs or sausages
- garbage bins

I'll always recall first time I heaved. I was 5 weeks gone and OH began frying some chicken. I normally LOVE chicken but the smell of it frying made the sick LITERALLY come up in my mouth immediately (sorry TMI!) and I very nearly projectiled everywhere.
I STILL can't eat chicken to this day and am now 14 weeks!
I worry it's scarred me for life LOL!!x

My dad cooking dinner made me throw up. I was gutted cos I walked into the house and thought that smells gorgeous - within 3 minutes I'd changed my mind and within another 2 I was sick! The only time I've been sick so far.

The other thing which really made me come quite close is a really strong citrusy air freshener I have on the downtairs loo. Yeeuch xx
