I'm Currently Feeling: | You did the right thing!
The point of getting checked out is to make sure that there aren't any problems associated with the symptoms and you won't know that if you stay at home just in case there's someone out there who may be suffering more than you!
Better safe than sorry! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | You did the right thing! If you ever have any concerns during pregnancy it is better to get them checked out in my opinion! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Always better safe than sorry. If you experience cramping so bad you're doubled over, you're supposed to get things checked out! A scan only takes a few minutes, and if there was anyone at the hospital in more dire need, they'd go first -- the services are available for a reason, you have every right to use them in a case like this. There's no way to know what's happening inside unless you see a doc and get a scan, so IMHO you absolutely did the right thing. As someone who has gone through m/c I completely understand why you'd want to have things checked even more -- it's scary! I'm so glad you're okay |

sorry to barge in but i dont think thats very fair! some women might be very upset and not know what a "slight niggle" feels like! what else can they compare it to if its their first pregnancy! |

Our bodies are going through a lot of changes and obviously you're going to get bloating and aches here and there. | I can agree with you about people making up symptoms to get extra free scans - that is terrible. But the the statement made was "when in doubt get checked", and I think if anyone has a genuine concern they SHOULD get it checked out. The doctors won't scan you for minor cramps and aches, and can at least offer some reassurance that all is ok. It's only if they think that there may be a problem that they scan.
You did the right Glad everything turned out ok |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi, i'm also expecting twins and also in my first trimester. I've just spent 3 weeks in hospital with OHSS (a bad reaction to IVF drugs) and during my time in I experienced exactly the same symptoms as you have described. If I hadn't of been in hospital already it would have scared the life out of me too - you certainly did the right thing going in, you can't take chances with twins, or any baby! In my case, and I would have died of embaressment if I had made a special trip in with it as in my case it was wind!!! I've never experienced painful wind in my life, but apparently with two growing in there, there is not much room and all the gasses float to the top and press down on ovaries etc and cause cripling pain. Now I know!
Good luck and hang on in there.

I'm Currently Feeling: | one of my freinds who is pregnant at the moment got an early scan as her docter told her that if she said she had an bleed then she cud get a scan so she went back and she lied that she'd had a bleed!! then when i was having a miscarriage they couldnt fit me in and i had to wait 3 days till i cud have a scan and find out what was happening. i just kept thinking that i had to wait because there were people getting scanned just because they had lied and the docter had told them to!!
But i think that if anyone is genuinly worried then deffinately go in and get checked as its so horrible to be at home and worried about it. you did the right thing going in xxxxxx |

Pregnancy is an anxious experience for most ...Fossey was commenting that based on posters experience of pain (not being able to walk) she did the right thing & indeed it was the right thing to do.
You do realise getting things checked out can actually save your life so 'I DISAGREE WITH YOU!'.
How rude!!!!
Anyone who needs to be scanned will be scanned as quick as everyone else well maybe a 10 minute slot later.
If you ever feel something is wrong then please get it checked out girls your entitled to that care as much as anyone else! |
