Hunger?! Help!


Well This is my first pregnancy and i was curious about my hunger, Well Ive been finding myself VERY VERY hungry all the time I will eat somthing and then not even an hour later i feel like im starving, I just ate dinner not that long ago and i feel im starving! Im getting tired of ALWAYS feeling the need to eat! Im only 4 weeks and 6 days, is anyone eles going through this? I wake up in the morning STARVING and then i get sick to my stomach when i try to eat somthing. Please tell me this isnt somthing you do if your having twins! I dont want twins haha i only want 1 baby! I dont have my first appointment untill the end of july! I am going to try to move it closer. Please tell me there are others of you doing this, what can i do to not be so hunrgy every hour of the day!? THANKS AHEAD OF TIME!!

As far as I know, it's completely and utterly normal whether you're having one or multiples (and like you, I pray for only one). It's fun being that hungry when you're nauseous -- for me, every trip to the 'fridge is like a game. What can I eat that's fast, easy to make, and won't make me sick? How about this cheese? Nope, that smells like feet. Okay, leftover pasta. No, that looks disgusting (even though it looked/smelled great 12 hours ago). Soup? Ice cream? Bread? What looks good one hour looks nasty the next, so I never know. I nearly always settle on an apple, which calms the hunger monster long enough for me to make something more substantial.

My absolute favourite part of all this? Going to the effort to make a meal that I THINK will taste fabulous and fill me up for a few hours, only to discover that I'm revolted and nauseated by the meal once it's on my plate. My hubby is putting on sympathy pounds from eating everything I can't stomach!

The best tip I have for staying fuller (we're never full, are we?) is to try and get some protein and fibre in your meal/snack. Meat with vegetables and a wholegrain slice of bread will stick with you longer than a bowl of cereal, pasta, juice, or other simple carbohydrates. Protein will keep your blood sugar more stable, and takes longer to digest. Easier said than done, I know, but if you can eat more well-rounded meals it does help a lot.

I too am feeling SOOOOOOO hungry, i ahve been filling up on wholemeal toast, and just getting loads of fruit down me.

I hope its not a twin thing!!!!!

im starving all the time and was with my last pregnancy with brendan i ate so much i gained 3 and half stone of weight and that was after he was born i still had the 3 and half stone, i just started a diet to get rid of it lost a stone and half and fell pregnant with this one and now im off the diet and stuffing my face again lmao im tryin to eat sensible foods so not to gain loads again lol, just so hungry all the time, but i feel sick if i eat or if i dont so a no win situation there lol
