OMG nausea

Guys, im sorry for being a cliche typical pregnant woman, but you gotta help me....
Im sooo ill, i feel so poorly. Its like last week im fine.. then 6 weeks comes and BAM! puke city. I work in sales, face to face sales... how the hell do I work a job like this with people with bad breath, or when people eat... i felt like walking out but i cant do it, my job is target based, without hitting targets I dont earn a fat lot and fear of losing my job for not hitting targets. I just dont know what to do, any miracle remedies? I got some peppermint tea today.

i have tried
Ginger biscuits (cant stomach them)
Lemon water (works a little)
Ginger beer( too fizzy makes me burp and feel ill)

Thankyooux

those anti-nausea travel sickness wrist bands helped me lots. Sometimes I thought they weren't working until I took them off and regretted it instantly. They really helped me get through work.

Problem is that if you are anything like my Amy then what 'works' will change. The one thing that has worked consistently for her when she has been disciplined enough to do it is constant 'nibble eating'. And eat BEFORE you get sick. By the time you feel sick its probably too late. Try these they might help:

Sprite
Fizzy water
Sea salt popcorn
Protein bars from Holland and Barret

Cant promte travel sickness bands enough, they were great!

YUCK ginger didn't work for me AT all!

I nibbled on plain crisps, dry crackers, rich tea biccies
Coke - yes, yes caffine and all that but I was desperate!
nibbled extra stong mints
Travel bands
when nausea got intense (for me in evening) I had a relaxing hot bath with bubbles. Not sure if it was the lying down, or the warmth, but my sickness ALWAYS eased in the bath. I then took myself off to the bedroom and had a relaxation session with chilled music - actually, I listened to a hypnotherapy CD!!

My friend sent me some homeopathic anti sickness tablets that are ok to take in pregnancy - BUT it's always best to check with your m/w and doc to see if they will be ok for you.

Good luck - it gets better (although I didn't believe it when I got told that!)

Carl says all i ate was toast ... lol

Try not to let your tummy get empty, hard i know when you feel like puking all day but force yourelf to eat dry plain foods every couple of hours and you should be able to manage a days work hun

Hi

I'm not preggers yet, but work in direct sales too. I've decided that as soon as i get my bfp I'm telling my immediate boss and human resources, and asking them not to tell anyone else. That way, if you do get so sick you can't sell they can't actually sack you - maternity rights and all that.

Good luck hun - hope you feel better soon

xx
