i just went to see the midwife (so handy the doctors is at the end of the road). Really havent been feeling very well and not been able to eat or drink i cant stop throwing . This is my 2nd midwife appointment due to regular check ups because of 2 previous m/c. It was a different m/w today than last time and she was very rude and not very patient and understanding.

I asked her when i would get my letter about my booking in scan. I have already had a check up scan because of suspicions of twins. So i was asking her questions like will i be massive with twins and how much do normal twins weigh. She turned round and asked me why on earth did i want to know. so i brushed it off then when i asked about the scan she said i will get it when it arrives so by this point i was getting angry and i just wanted to go home.

Then she asked me if my blood pressure is normally ok/low/high so i told her it is normally low and she turned round and said i think its my job to find that out dont you. so i just shut my mouth. has anyone else had this problem with midwifes.?????? i just couldnt believe how rude she was !!!!!1

ow hun sorry you had such a crappy time. I've bee lucky so far (touch wood) all my mws i've seen have been nice. You maybe wanna ring up the drs next time and ask who the mw is on duty that day? Don't let her get to ya.

As for booking appt, this seem to change from place to place but i reckon you will hear in the next week or so. Failing that give the scan dept a ring to ask? You'll prob get a more precise answer that way anyway.

lol well ive seen my midwife once. i hope thats normal she does sound like a bitch....and personally if that was my m/w id say why r u a midwife see what she ses then lol x x x

Thankyou so much to everyone but this advice was really helpful just rang the hospital and they informed me that my letter should arrive in the next few days so that has put my mind at rest!!

I think I would have calmly asked her if she was usually this nice to all of her patients and she what she had to say for herself.....I know people are busy but seriously to take it out on you is sooo wrong!!

well thankyou all very much it was just one of them stressy moments being a midwife she should know not to mess with pregnant women i really coould have took her head off lol!!

glad we were of some help! Sometimes i think its much easier just to go direct and most the time you get a much more accurate answer aswell. Hope your letter arrives soon. I'd give it a week or so and if not heard anythin give them a follow up call.
