Supersonic Woman

Has anyone else noticed this happening?

My hearing has increased in sensitivity just the same as my sense of smell has. I nearly tore my OH a new orifice while we were camping because he was banging his spoon on his dish after supper!

When Charlie does his whingy crying bit that he does everyday when he wakes up from his snooze, I find that I physically cannot function! I mean this literally, it's as if my brain shuts down until I've quieted him.

Then last night we had an absolutely magnificent storm. It went right over the top of us and I've never seen so much lightning; it was beautiful. Afterwards however my ears were ringing and it made me feel really paniky.

It's a bit pathetic really but I just wondered if anyone else was hearing things differently? It's never happened before and it's getting a bit irritating actually. Even the sound of the keyboard while I'm typing is making me feel twitchy.

I don't think I hear more... but sounds definitely irritate me more. We were in a coffee shop the other day and I wanted to get up and hit the guy at the next table because he was stirring his coffee and the spoon was clanging against the mug. It seemed to carry on forever. Luckily I managed to restrain myself. My OH's computer games also annoy me - he has turn the sound off or use headphones.

Maybe it's just that then, I'm noticing noise more rather than hearing more of it.

Thanks girls thought I was going a bit loony tunes there.
