I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm worried - is anyone else still charting? I've been taking my temps for so long that it's just become a habit and I figured it was a comfort to know my temps were staying up there. But yesterday they were a bit lower than usual and today it's down to the coverline. Then I found this article http://www.endotext.org/female/female13/female13.htm that mentioned the luteal-placental shift and that they can give progesterone supplements if the placenta isn't producting enough when the corpus luteum stops. Ok, so I'm not a doctor but it made sense to me. I went to the NHS walk-in center and spoke to someone very nice, but she looked at me as if I was mad to still be taking my temps and said there is no way they would give a pregnant woman progesterone unless she had a number of previous miscarriages. I don't want to have to lose this baby so that someone will listen next time
I have no other signs that anything is wrong, no pain, no bleeding. My bbs still hurt like hell, I'm tired and I have nausea - so my symptoms are still going strong. Maybe less nausea than this weekend (I haven't thrown up today), but it's still there. I'm not peeing as much as I was before, but that seems to come and go. Should I be worried? Any advice?
Thanks |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think you are looking into possibilities which you really shouldn't! You will worry yourself to death if you keep it up!
No, definately not still charting, in fact, only charted to see if OV.
The more you try and find problems, the less you will relax!
STOP CHARTING WOMAN!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks, I hear what you're saying - but charting is the only reason I've been able to relax for the last 8 weeks. Apart from 1 day at around 6 weeks when I had cramps that had me doubled over, I've really have had no concerns because even though I did have tweaks and cramps going on - I knew my temps were still high so there was nothing to worry about. People often talk about inspecting their toilet paper for blood every time they go to the loo for the first 12 weeks. I've never given it more than a glance if that, because I haven't been worried at all. Today I'm inspecting. And the more I think about it, the nurse didn't say that there was nothing wrong - she said that normally you wouldn't know that anything is wrong because you wouldn't be taking your temp. That's not an answer I'm happy with. Maybe it's nothing - I have a cold so my nose is stuff and maybe I'm just breathing through my mouth more so it's made my temp drop. Or maybe you get a natural dip in progesterone when you switch from the corpus luteum to the placenta. I just wish I could get a clear answer. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | One of my friends kept temping after she got her BFP and it started to freak her out because her temps were going down so she eventually stopped. Her baby is fine and she is almost 16wks pregnant. You cant put yourself through that. As you go along in your pregnancy your temps will still stay fairly high but remember at times they are likely going to drop. Hun dont do this to yourself and please stop charting!! You will find you can relax a bit more when you do. Take care! xo |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree with the others, it's probably best for you to stop charting
The fact that you still have all the other signs is good, plus as you have said no cramping or bleeding. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks for all your comments. I know you're all right, but I knew I would be worrying again today if I didn't know what was happening so I took my temp again this morning I'm glad I did because it was back to 36.9 So now I know I'm fine, I can relax again. I've also thrown up 3 times today so far, so baby is letting me know that it's doing just fine. Never thought I'd be so happy to throw up
Thanks again |
