I'm Currently Feeling: | I think i heard it? Ladies im a little confuzzled ..
After my scan on friday Carl had a go with the doppler (angelsounds) and he put it on me in the same spot the woman did at the hospital and bang he heard something straight away!! He passed it over to me but it was weird ....
It sounds faster than my own but not a great deal though .. but not as fast as i thought it should. Maybe it wasnt but how comes we can only pick it up in one particular spot? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | When we found mine at the dr's office, I was seriously concerned by how slow it was. I was expecting something so fast, and it was just moderate. The dr only found it in one spot, too. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Theres 3 noise the doppler might pick up, the placenta which is irregular beating sound, your own heartbeat, and the babys which will be alot faster than your own. I always listen to mine first, but its pretty obvious when you got the baby. My LO is usually quite low either far right or far left. Its great though.xx |

| if you have found your heartbeat then ove the doppler around slowly from there. Sometimes your placental heartbeat is over the babies so its hard to hear/differenctiate between them.
Also, my Lo heartbeat is nowhere near where the sonographer found the baby really, an ultrasound has a much wider scope. Hang in there you will find it. MAybe try going in straight lines from one side to the other, when you find the placenta which is like wind through trees, the baby's heartbeat wont be far away. Also maybe try counting the heatbeat. If its over 100 its most likely the baby's.
Hope that helps! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | just got back from m/w and she found the heartbeat it was amazing! quite far left and first we could hear like a swooshing/thumping which she said was my uterus then clear as day heard babes beating away! it was not as fast as i was expecting like you said Rae, m/w said it sounded perfect*
even tho i had seen babes on the scan hearing the heart has reasurred me again!*
has made me tempted to get a doppler but she said i can go every week if i want to have a listen so i think i will do that instead!! |
