Hey guys, this might seem really silly to some of you but it's really affected me since yesterday. I was on my way into manchester and at the train station when a lady who'd just come down the stairs fell over. You could obviously see she was expecting, from the size I'd say over 6 months gone, but she landed on her hip / straight on the side of her bump.

the police were there anyways as there was a big footy match on, so they were with her within a few minutes and an ambulance was called straight off, but you could see she was petrified and there was nothing that could be done to help her. I was talking to her and stuff and there were a few other women, but I really didn't want to leave her. I know I'm pretty early rght now but it really effected me. I was so scared for her, I just wanted to make her okay, and since it's been on my mind constantly. I know there's nothing I can do, but heh, I dunno

It's not silly at all. Human nature dictates that we are like that and care about others. No other animal (that I can think of) looks after their baby for basically their entire lift or keeps contact with hundreds of people at once.

I'd be concerned too, especially since it's a very real situation that could just as easily happen to us

Yeah, there was some water oin the floor that hadn't been cleaned that she slipped on, but I felt so helpless. i really hope she's okay.

a) glad to hear from you again was getting worried again
b) You are a such a acaring person thats it's not a suprise to me that this has effected you in this way
c) I hope both she and LO are doing fine, I mean LO is so protected in there s/he may just have had a little roller coaster ride, I heard that it is unusal for a fall to harm the baby, hope that puts your mind at rest some.

I'd love you there if I'd fallen, you sounded like you really supported her. You're not being silly, no one wants to think anything bad could happen to a pregnant lady or a baby.
