Not sure what the chances are to be honest, I thought it was meant to skip a generation but not sure! Both my nans had twins and OH has twin aunties so we were meant to be next in line but i have been assured there is only one! They should be able to tell you as soon as you have your first scan! I know the chances are a lot higher if there are twins in the family

The fact that your other half is a twin doesn't increase your chances of having them yourself. The only way you'd have an increased chance of having twins (fraternal ones) is if there's a "twin gene" on your mother's side of the family that causes ovulation to occur twice in one go. Identical twins don't run in families at all, they happen by chance.

My oh's mum and dad are both twins, his dad is identical and his mum is non identical, my mum has twins on her side of the family, the midwife said i had a high chance of having twins, but not this time in pregnancy, just have the one.
