Hi! I found out I was pregnant yesterday and am so excited to be joining this forum! I have just started my 5th week and am feeling great so far. My hubby and I are both 28; it is our first baby.
I haven't been to the docs yet; hopefully I can get an appt next week. What can I expect at this appointment? And for those of you who have been through this before, do you have any suggestions for questions I should ask? Honestly, right now I'm too excited to think!
Most times you just answer a lot of questions about your medical history at your first appointment. That's what they did with me, had my husband and I answer questions, asked us if we were going to do the triple testing, what hospital we wanted to give birth at, and sent us to have blood tests done. I had a physical done at 10 weeks and was than referred to an OB (but this varies greatly from province to province as to when you get referred to the OB).
Good luck with your appointment and congratulations on your pregnancy!
It varies from place to place, but here in the UK nothing exciting happens at all. Just lots of questions about you and OH. Some people feel a bit dissapointed in the lack of action!
Congratulations!
My 1st appt the doctor just worked out my due date, then we just chatted about what will happen next and things like what I can and cant eat! xx
