For those of you who don't know, me and my OH don't currently live together ... in fact we live on oposite sides of the country practically. He visits me most weekends and sometimes I drive over to him. We were hoping to move in next year, once we saved some money and I could get a new job nearer him, but LO's arrival on the scene (not quite litterally yet) has sped up the plans somewhat.
It's a new house, not quite finished yet, but we got a good deal on it and it has much bigger rooms than any of the others we've seen. It's lovely. And baby can have their own room right across from ours with a alcove for storage, and there is a big guest room for visiting family and friends. It's got loads of storage in the kitchen, and carpets are included.
We move in when I go on Maternity leave Sep/Oct.
We were going to rent but this is much bigger than anything we could afford, adn not renting means I can paint LO's room (pink/blue) and my cat can come with us (was dreading what we'd do with him if we rented, he's such good company).
Oooo I'm so excited, I can now start to picture where we'll be when the LO gets here, and we can make it a home and we'll be a family
with new builds today *being in the estate agency industry* you can get so many discounts and extras, there are lots that are paying for all carpets, curtains and electrical goods, some are paying your legal fees and stamp duty if applicable and some are paying your mortgage for a year, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask them as they wont offer them to you....the housing market is at an all time low at the moment and with mortage rates not coming down mirroring the us they will try and sell at any cost...
please see what deal they can do for you!!
if you need any help or tips then just ask
