with new builds today *being in the estate agency industry* you can get so many discounts and extras, there are lots that are paying for all carpets, curtains and electrical goods, some are paying your legal fees and stamp duty if applicable and some are paying your mortgage for a year, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask them as they wont offer them to you....the housing market is at an all time low at the moment and with mortage rates not coming down mirroring the us they will try and sell at any cost...

Thanks for the advice, we are so far getting: a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, carpets, turf, and a wardrobe. We also asked about some of the furniture (as it is currently the show home) and the lady winked and said to ask again nearer the time. They're renting it back of us till September so the morgage will get paid for us for a few months.
With the morgage rates we got a pretty good deal on the price, I know house prices might come down more but it won't effect us unless we decide to move again.

My OH and I lived at opposite ends of the country for years, and when we finally moved in together, it was just amazing!! we bought a house 18 months ago and ended up moving in 10 days after we got back from our honeymoon! The stress was just amazing - but worth every second!
