I am also finding it hard. I woke up the other morning with an ache in my back and I really think thats what its from. Hubby bought me metamucil but I havent tried it yet because it says to take 5 three times a day and I just thought that was a lot of pills to take (I hate taking pills I gag on them) Im just kind of putting up with it because I know eventually it will subside but its so annoying!!

Exclamation

I was constipated right from the beginning of my pregnancy, infact before I even found out. I've found the last couple of weeks I've gone back to normal though so it seems to have eased off. I hope it doesn't come back though as I have a fear of getting haemorrhoids!!!

I have the opposite problem and it worries me as it is most common to be constipated. However I've googled it (scarey thing to do to be honest) and my situation seems almost as common. Not sure which is worse really.

ive always suffered from constipation, honestly i can't even remember when i last went because it's so rare. however it does seem to have gotten worse since getting pregnant. used to go atleast twice a week but now i am counting 5 maybe 6 days straight and nothing. My DH always asks me where all the food goes i don't know!

Last time I had that, I had some syrup of figs... and (sorry tmi) it was like someone turned the tap on in there. I don't know if you can have it during pregnancy... maybe ask your midwife? Hope you feel better soon.

I also have the same problem as you... some days I am fine, and some days it is gross. I am not too worried as I have also read that it is common.

I feel for you, like I said in another thread one time I spent about 2 hours on the toilet balling my eyes out, cos I couldnt get it out. hehe, worser pain than birth I swear lol.

If it is becoming a problem and is bloating you up then go see your doctor, I would suggest trying some sort of laxative though, coffee always does the job for me!!!
