I've just come back from a Midwife appointment and she's made me really worried.

I'm 13 weeks 4 days. Has anyone been for an appointment at the sort of stage to be told that they cannot feel the baby or hear the heartbeat. She didn't try with a doppler just said that she didn't think there was anything to feel yet.

My scan dates came back putting me 2 days further on and I heard the heartbeat when I had my NT scan at 12 weeks, also heard the heartbeat then as well. But over the weekend I've had some bleeding and cramps, but its eased off now....I've been told I need to go back on the 23rd May to see if they can hear a heart beat....

I'm confused and upset...not sure where to turn...2 weeks is along way off.

I think you should pester for a sooner appointment!!! Its harsh they are making you wait so long.... but on the other hand it could mean MW is not worried enough!!

However a friend of mine had a bleed and MW came to her house to find heartbeat.... couldnt get one so booked her in for two days later to try again!!! And found it !!

The heartbeat is quite hard to find at that stage, my gosh it took about 5 mins when I was 19 weeks!!!

Im sure everything is fine but if you are really concerned I would defiently try and get in sooner than 2 weeks!!!

the machines they use for a scan are much stronger than a doppler hence why you heard it before, try not to worry im sure every
things ok. it would have been worse for you if she had tryed to find it and couldnt.... if your really concerned talk to your doc to try get you scan sooner?
