Well, today I had my first OB appt! It went great! Doctor said everything looked great. He did say he was a little worried because I have so many people in my family that have diabetes, so Monday I have to go for a glucose screening test and I have to do it again around 26 weeks. I did ask him about me spotting and bleeding after having sex. Me and DH have only done it once since we found out I was pregnant If any of you recall a few weeks ago me and hubby BD'd and I spotted for 4 days after that, it went away for a day, and then I started bleeding the next day. I went to the ER and everything was fine. He said for us to go ahead and have sex and if I start bleeding again to call him and he would see me right away so we could see what was causing the bleeding. Oh boy, hubby was so excited!!
He said when we get home he's gonna light some candles and blah blah blah! lol Well we did and I'm happy to say there is NO bleeding whatsoever as of now. I was a little bummed because he told me the only scans I would get was the one I had a week ago, at 8 weeks, one at 20-22 weeks, and then one at the end of the pregnancy. I was hoping for a 12 week one. But he said the only reason he does one at 12 weeks is if we pay for it and then 2 sets of bloodwork goes along with it to screen for chromosonal defects. I don't think we will have the extra money at the time to pay for it so I doubt we'll get it done.
On a happier note! Me and hubby have decided to pay for an extra scan 2 weeks early to find out the sex early. We will be having an 18 week scan on July 5th at 11:30 AM to find out the sex of our baby.
Oh, and did I mention July 5th is my birthday??! I'm so excited this will be the greatest birthday present.
I'm obsessed with the color pink. I want to go out and buy a whole bunch of it!
