NHS direct were really helpful when I rang them with the same problem at 5 weeks. Quite a few things can cause bleeding and most of it perfectly normal.

Good luck at the scan.

I started with a very small amount of brown stuff this morning there is hardly anything there but it still panicked me. I have a really good pregnancy book and it said it is normal to get this in the early stages.

NEVER, EVER google ANYTHING!
And by GOOGLE I mean look up on ANY WEBSITE! It's all bologna! Trust me - discharge is a PERFECTLY NORMAL SYMPTOM of pregnancy! Don't panic unless it's bright red blood with clots in it and if it's associated with severe cramping.

Lots of for you and lots of luck at your scan. I can't say not to worry because I know I would be the same way, but you have to think positively and just remember that spotting and such is normal during pregnancy...Please tell us what happens after your scan asap.
