coping with food shopping

Ugh!
Since OH's hours don't always mean he can get the grocery shopping, although he tries as often as he can bless him - it really comes down to me and I am finding it hard. First of all the supermarket smells make me heave. Then I am too tired and have such a pregnancy brain that even with a list I forget half the stuff. Then I have to buy food for OH which includes things that I can't even bear to think about.

It is quite amusing really. I have this image of myself lurching around with my trolley, frantically sipping my 7up to try to ease the quease and looking totally green! And then at the check out - heaven forbid if the person tries to talk to me - all I can do is focus on packing the bags as quickly as possible so that I can escape the smell of fried chicken and disgusting cake/donuts smell.

I was sick on the floor in the middles of sainsburys when i was on my own it was a nightmare!
i felt exactly the same as you when there was things i couldn't even think about.
I started doing food shoppping online which is great - & you can monitor how much u spend lol!
sometimes putting it away was like being on a ship in the middle of a storm i felt that ill but at least i wasn't walking round the supermarket!!
try online shopping & i hope u feel better soon xxxx

Ohhhhh I live in America so we don't have online shopping. I don't half miss sainsbury and tescoes. American Supermarkets are 100 times worse for food that makes you feel sick - the whole store smells sickly sweet and fried!

my OH is american and we moved here a couple of years ago, but I'm almost always homesick : (
