annoyance (warning vent!)

Whenever I google some pregnancy question, hoping for a very scientifically correct and accurate answer or as close as possible to that there are tonnes and tonnes of stupid stupid answers.yahoo, posts and i am just appaulled at how many of these replies to peoples questions are either totally ignorant or totally lacking in any tact or compassion. Sometimes they are ok - but most of the times they p me off and make me very cross

for example
I came across one where somebody was asking, quite legitimately I thought, why do we get all these various symptoms and one person replied;
"Please do some research on your pregnancy, go to a public library, these are all common symptoms and something a pregnant mother should know about, just surf the net to get a little understanding of what is happening to you, your baby and what to expect in the future. Then when you have done that research information on parenting.."

That made me sooooo mad! I usually take no notice, but I guess my pg hormones are firing today!
Sorry. Just had to vent!
LOL!

We must get posted the same few questions every few weeks and to my knowledge, no one answers like that no matter how many times they might have repeated it!!!

What have you learned......ask B&B not Yahoo answers!!!

The people on Yahoo Answers are ridiculous. Half of the answers are BS. I'm on there but I try to give helpful, informed answers. For pregnancy, I just come here because its people who actually know what they're talking about, not 14 year old boys who want to make a joke.

Ah, I've seen some questions and answers posted in Yahoo and I wouldn't trust them. Some are idiots posting for nothing better to do.

And a lot of the posters on yahoo answers are kids/teenagers trying to get a rise out of people.

Even scienfic answers contradict each other, which is frustrating.

Take the example of to dye your hair or not to dye? No-one seems able to give a stright answer. I have asked doctors / hairdressers / the internet. And there is no usuful advice.

Most people seem to not want to say anything at all in case they are wrong, and some just say to avoid everything 'just to be on the safe side'.

I guess the real problem is that not enough research has been carried out. I mean not many expectant women are going to want to risk their baby's health by entering into an experimental trial, just to see if a product like hair dye effects the pregnancy.
