Hi, I have an early scan booked in tomorrow as I had some brown blood loss earlier today, just wondering if anyone can tell me how many weeks it is until you can see babies heartbeat on the scan?

I think its around 5 weeks but not 100%

I had a scan at just over 4 weeks and they couldn't see anything, and today at (apparently) just over 6 weeks and there was a strong heartbeat. However, I was told that sometimes they can't see anything until after 8 weeks and to not get too upset if that happened, and they would just rescan me in a weeks time.

hiya my friend went through the same as you a few weeks ago she was bleeding and went for a scan but was only 5 weeks so they said it was too early to tell, she went back one week later and there was a heartbeat.

I think they say by 7 weeks they should be able to see it but for some people it's a few days earlier.

mine was there at 5+3

I had an internal done at 5 weeks 4 days, baby was 3mm and you could just see the flickering
