Bossy!

Bossy!! Bossy!! how very dare he! Grrrrr just met my OH for lunch and had a tiff but one of those quiet ones where neither of you really say alot. I asked if he was ok as he has seemed a bit stressed the past couple of days and he said yeah he just feels a bit bossed about. He then followed that with but I dont want to make a big deal out of it as I know that will stress you out. Well why mention it in the first place then!!!

I did say that if he actually did some of the things that I asked/he said he would do i.e. clean the cat s**t from the back garden so I can put some anti cat s**t stuff, do the hoovering, put up the bathroom cabinet...then maybe just MAYBE I wouldnt nag!

Jeez! Sorry for the long rant but that has really got my gander up!

Ahhhh diddums................poor OH feels bossed about. You ask them to do just a few things to help you out and they cant seem to do that. And why not??? Because they dont see it as urgent/necessary. What they dont understand is that if they dont do it, we will. And then, because we end up doing it they stand there and say "i'll do that love. dont go straining yourself". Thats bloody rich coming from someone who cant seem to find 5 mins to "strain" himself to clean up the cat sh*t from the garden!!

I've found that if i dont ask my OH to do anything at all, and i just get on and do it, he realises that i am actually doing alot and he'll either come and help me or tell me to sit down and rest. Maybe you should try that tactic??

Good luck and dont let him get to you. You'll have an ACTUAL baby to look after soon. You dont need a grown man acting like one too.

I think its half because i dont look pregnant yet and half because of the living together thing. He hasnt actually moved in yet (trying not to nag about him speaking to his landlord about giving his notice) and I think thats the issue. Its not the baby but more cohabiting...neither of us have done it before. Thing is, he just doesnt bloody think sometimes, dont get me wrong he isnt nasty or bullish or anything just a bloomin self absorbed bloke!

Thanks Gemgems, nice to know im not being too irrational!
