6 week scan and no heart beat! updated - Page 4

I've told you in your journal but I will reply here too so the other girls can read

We had a scan and the sack measured at 7wk 2 days and was totally empty, went back 2 weeks later and there was our beautiful baby and a strong heartbeat and they measured baby at 7 wk 6 days so your dates might be totally out!

Don't worry Hun, I know it's easier said than done

thats the bit that scares me cos i just assume that cos someone saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks, some even before 6 weeks, then why didnt i! im gona have to try to convince myself that, like you say, every pregnancy is different. thanks for taking time to share your story with me id be lost without you girls.

I dont think they even scan until 8 weeks in Holland / probably for that reason. Its true what everyone else says though... babies mature at different rates to others. I have many a story the same as yours with a positive outcome

I had a scan at 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat present so I went back three weeks later and there it was, lovley and strong. It is very common at this stage for a heartbeat not to be detected. I know it's impossible, but please try not to worry. I had a MMC last year too so I know it is hard trying to keep thinking positively. Big

Just as an update, I had my scan and it went wonderfully!!!! I saw the lovely little flicker of the heartbeat. Most amazing thing i have seen! Makeithappen, I wish you all the luck Sweetie! Hope things go as well for you as they have went for me!!!
