Laura i would like to thank you for your post it has given me such a boost and hope xx
oh its just awful hun! i just feel like im on another planet i cant think straight at all! im soo scared! when have you to be rescanned?
I'm being rescanned on the 31st but i have a follow up with a private clinic on wednesday. To be honest i'm in two minds whether or not to attend the private scan as it may not show any different as they dont do internals, but what if i see the heartbeat then it will save me another week of pain, i have no idea what i'm gonna do, but i totally feel your pain. You just feel numb dont you? I cant even socialise just now cause all my thoughts are consummed by what ifs, you just want to feel "normal" huh xx

Hi there

I had internal US at 4.5 and 6w. At 4.5w they saw a 3mm gestational sac (I'm amazed they found anything that small). At 6w they saw a 10mm gestational sac and yolk sac, but no HB or fetal pole.

I had a 12w scan on Monday and saw a beautiful little baby waving at me.

I know this won't make any difference, but try to keep busy and don't spend all your time worrying. Statistically everything should be fine. But I know how hard it is to wait a really long time to see a heartbeat. The relief when you finally do is wonderful.

Good luck

First off, I love this site!

Secondly, I am in the same situation. Me and my DH went for and early US the tech did both a regular scan and internal. It was at 6 weeks exactly and all we saw was a gest. sac and a yolk sac, no fetal pole or HB. Im just as worried as you, my next scan is on wed the 24th and im really nervous. Its so hard not to think of the worst, but at the same time im trying to stay positive ....Unfortunatly my dh wont be with me when i get my next scan because he has military training he is going to(oh the joys of being an army wife), he is my anchor, and if something bad is happening, i dont know what im going to do. But im going to be positive, because i know that baby is going to be ok. Good luck ladies and hopefully everything turns out good for all of us.

try not to worry too much my scan at 6 + 3 they didnt even see a baby or a yolk sac let alone a heartbeat. i know its hard but everyone is different-i've learnt through this pregnancy that nothing whatsoever is textbook.
