Hi sweet, it is common not to see a heartbeat this early. I know it is easy to say don't worry, but really please don't. I know the next 10 days will be rough, but you need to keep your strength up and yourself stress free for your LO.

You may be a little earlier in your dates as somethimes we can never be sure when we ovulated.

All the best x

was it an internal scan? I have had early scans with all of mine but around the 5 and half week stage and there was never a heart beat, i had to wait two weeks then they rescanned and as you can see they were all there beating away. I know its really hard not to worry, in fact its impossible, but try to think positively just now xx

Aw huni, 10 days is a long time, especially when you are so wanting good news. 6 weeks is early days, i'm sure all will turn out ok in the end. Try not to worry too much, it won't do you or baby any good. Good luck hun, let us know how you get on xxx

i had a scan at 7 weeks but they measured me at 6+1 and we saw beanies heartbeat. but i am convinced i was either bang on 7 weeks or closer to 7 weeks than the measured.

I was told before the scan tho that HB can only start to be seen between 6 and 6 1/2 weeks so i would try not to worry and are confident you will see a strong little HB at your next scan.

Good luck x

yeah it was an internal! thats good that at 5 & a half weeks you didnt see a hb then 2 weeks later you did, thats reassuring ! it just seems like everyone who has been scanned this early has seen a hb! im just wondering did doc not want me worrying so said it was pretty normal not to see one! its good to know im not the only one though!

I have found the docs always prefer to give you worst case scenario, rather than best case, when it comes to the early stages of pregnancy, so if you doc was quite positive about your pregnancy, I would take that as meaning the outlook is good just now. Mine were certainly never shy to put the fear of god into me! Will be thinking of you with your next scan xxx
