A cyst/cysts on your ovaries?

So today at my scan, my nurse told me I had 3 cysts on my left ovary!

One was small, and the other two were too small to worry about.

They said they should go away by the time I have my next scan.

I'm just worried sick, because I was born two months early with a birth defect kidney. So I get kidney stones often.
I always had pain near my ovaries and just thought it was my kidneys... now I'm wondering if it's been my ovaries this whole time.

Has anyone else had cysts on there ovaries???
If so what happened??

I had 2 cysts on my ovaries about 4 years ago but i wasn't pregnant at the time. Mine burst and not to scare you but it was the worst pain ever. I couldn't stop throwing up and usually after you throw up you would feel better but the more I throw up the worse I felt and the more I kept throwing up. I went to the hospital and they gave me morphin and within about 4 hours of it starting I was ok.

But I have heard of many women who have had them and the disappeared on their own (I really hope you are one of them)

Thank you both for your reply. I just hope they're small enough to disappear.

I'm sorry you had to go through that pain. Sounds horrible!

I had one found before I was pregnant which ruptured and yes lots of pain. I had a further 3 found at a scan at 7 weeks. 1 is feeding the baby and the othertwo just sat there. They believe they should all go at about 12 weeks (so today then). If not and they grow they may remove them at about 16 weeks which is quite safe.
