I told my mum as soon as i found out and OHs parents other people found out at either 10 weeks (just after my scan) then friends etc after 12 weeks

I didn't want to tell anyone at all (apart from OH of course) as last time we did that i had a miscarriage. But my OH went and told the whole of his family when i got my at 6 weeks and i told my mum about 2 weeks ago. So, its not a known thing, just family know at the minute. I'm gonna announce it when i've had my scan and i know everythings ok. Although, i think work are cottoning on coz i'm getting huge already!!

It's really up to you when you tell people.

I told my OH straight away yesterday, and told my dad and sister this morning. I was too excited to not tell family at least. I think I'll wait until the 8 week mark to tell friends... just so that I don't have to tell as many people if anything goes wrong.

I told all of my family and of course yesterday when I found out (3 weeks 3 days). I'll be telling everyone at work (I'm a teacher) today at 3 weeks 4 days!! I am just so excited I can't keep it in!

I kept it in for about all of 5 seconds after I found out

I told my mum when I was about.. 8 - 9 weeks pregnant, but I only told close friends and family.. waited to tell everybody else around 12 weeks, but turns out my 'close friends' and 'family' had told everybody already!

We told our families right after we found out, also told close friends. Waited on everyone else (although our families still told people) and some of my friends figured it out at 9 weeks (was planning on waiting until I entered second tri to tell everyone else).

I think it's really what you feel most comfortable with

I told all at about 8-9 weeks as everyone was so supportive after my miscarriage I figured if I needed them they would be there for me again xXx

we told DH's parents a couple days after we found out, as it was his mother's bday and so we thought to give her a nice bday surprise! I have not told my parents yet, but i decided to wait until Mother's Day and call them and tell them. It's not easy for me to call them as they are in Japan and timezones and costs is crazy. Mother's day will give me a good "excuse" to call. I'll be almost 7 weeks by that time.

As for friends...I don't plan on telling friends until i am showing a bit and can't hide it anymore. Although it seems everyone we know here in Texas (we're on vacation) already know lol as DH's parents seem to have told the whole world

Because we have had some losses in the past, my OH and I decided not to tell anyone until close to the end of the first trimester. However this is proving very difficult as we are running out of excuses why I am unable to socialize ( I have to be in bed by 8pm most nights!)

I told my mum today - mostly because I was feeling a bit lonely and needing some sympathy. She had already guessed though! Everyone else I think we will wait until we see how things go at my scan when I am 8 weeks. The longer we can hold out, the better because I can't cope with peoples wee-meaning, but misguided comments, enthusiasm or anxiety at the moment. I just need to take things one day at a time.
