12 week scan tomorrow and terrified of MMC

So sorry if this upsets

I have my 12 wk scan tomorrow and I'm scared. All the through this pregnancy so far I've been terrified of getting to the scan only to be told I've had a MMC, is this a normal feeling or am I being paranoid ?

I just can't relax at all. I know this is a kind of irrational feeling as we saw our bean at just over 6 wks on an early scan, with a heartbeat. And I've been having the most horrendous morning sickness, am actually signed off work with it at the mo.

So surely I wouldn't be getting such bad morning sickness if my beanie has died ?

im sure everythings fine.. i feel the same as i still cant find the heartbeat on the doppler

Aww hunni I'm exactly the same! It seems like such a long wait to 12 weeks and when you finally get there it's terrifying to see whether or not the scan is OK!

I'm sure the fact that you saw your little bean at 6 weeks and he was fine means that your 12 week scan will go prefectly

Try and relax and enjoy your scan, once you see him waving at you it'll all be worth it!

I've not been given an early scan so am still on my wait for my 12 week scan - time is dragging and like you am desperate to see that everything is OK.

im sure u will be fine

im excatly the same as u i got mine a week 2mrw and im scared they wont find nething there as i have a doppler and cant hear a beat yet xx

it's completely natural to be scared, it just doesn't seem real until your scan and panic that there won't be anything there. I can't wait for mine so i can stop worrying!

I’ve been thinking the exactly same thing. My scan is on Thursday and even though there is a much, much, much greater chance of it all going well than the tiny chance of it going wrong – I’m being such an unbelievable pessimist. It’s like I’ve already resigned myself that it’s all going to go wrong. I think a lot of it is down to the fact that even though I’ve had every symptom under the sun, I still can’t believe that there’s actually a teeny tiny human in there. So it’s like I’m assuming the scan is just going to confirm that.

All ridiculous and completely irrational thinking but I hope it proves that you’re not alone in how you’re feeling!

I’m sure it’ll go brilliantly – show us the pictures once you get back!

I Feel EXACTLY the same!!

I'm 5 weeks pregnant today and im always thinking "have my symptoms gone?? Maybe i've had MMC?" i so nervous. i dont even have my first midwife appointment until the 24th march..

So yeah.. i think its normal to be this worried and i think unless you've had any major bleeding/pain you'll be fine.. thats what i keep telling myself. lol xx GL and let us know how your scan goes xxx

You've just described perfectly how I feel! I'm a pessimist too, and can't quite believe how quickly we fell pregnant so I'd convinced myself that something must have to go wrong as life doesn't happen this easily for us. Hope your scan goes well, look forward to seeing your pics.

Aww bless you, it does seem like such a long wait for your scan doesn't it ? Feels like an age since we found out I'm pregnant. I had an early scan because of bleeding, so I should feel more reassured that everything was ok at that scan shouldn't I ?

Mines not til 6pm (private nuchal scan) and I'm signed off work with bad morning sickness at the mo, so no work to take my mind off it!
