Did anyone elses doctor not test for HCG? Blood test picture included.

HEYO!

I booked in for a doctors appointment today and my doctor was very nice although every worry i had he tended to push aside (probably because i'm worrying unnecessarily) But i'm now upset and worried about the blood test i had..... He didn't test for any hormones or HCG..... Isn't that kind of odd????

I asked the lady with the form and she said its just a standard ante-natal test that is done when a pregnancy is confirmed and that he mustn't of asked for HCG because we know i am pregnant..... and it bugs me he didn't test for HCG what if my HCG levels were exceptionally high i could be carrying twins. Also i wanted to know my progesterone was good as i'm terrified of miscarrying.

I'm kind of upset........ Here is the form i was given

you just hear so many women say "HCG levels are high might be with twins" or that the HCG isn't doubling and such

Not every doctor tests for HCG unless there is a concern. Beleive it or not, I didnt get any HCG tested till after I had my tubes untied. Befor it wasnt common practice. They were ruling out ectopic. This time around my doctor wasnt going to check for HCG but did anyways cus he felt I may NOT of been pregnant. well my #s came in rather high lol ...Anyways, your doctor is testing some hormones from what I read. All typical female hormones, just not the pregnancy. I do hope things turn out excellent for you. If your really concerned, do go in and see. But if they dont do tehm anymore where you are then you might be wasting your time.
Take care, bless. xxx

You could go to another doctor. But then the hassel in itself will worry you more.
I am contemplating going to another doctor as my due date is way off and my doctor just laughed in my face wehn i sadi I had sex ONCE in 2 weeks, there is no way the sperm waited 2 weeks to meet the egg lol then he says you sure you didnt have sex after, well hmmm I have a 5 month old, Sex is last on my mind lol.

Anyways, dont stress too much. Plenty of women do it...but relax. stress this early on is not good.

i know exactly how you feel i told my doc i do temping and opks and that i ovulated on CD17 on CD14 so the LMP theory will be a little off and he's like "honey, so many women think they know when they ovulated because of a few pains.... Ovulation is so sporadic its easier to just do it this way"

I'm now glad that i went to a large clinic because they said if he's booked out i can go to another doctor which i do each time i go because his schedule might conveniently conflict with mine.

I chart to, and ugh lol its confusing when the doctor says this. I also got a positive HPT, DARK line when he said I ovulated. I DID ovulate around cd 23-25 but not 28-30 like he said. I was breastfeeding when I got pregnant, well just stopped. My tickers are going based on his ultrasound. It doesnt make sense. Doctors, I would love to be one lol But oh well. Anyways, congrats.
