I know everyone has asked this about 20 times but...Am I miscarrying?

I am 6wks5dys pregnant today (03/11) and have had bleeding since 02/20/10(brown colored spotting/discharge, sometimes tiny bits of tissue, no severe cramping or bleeding). On 3/1 I had a U/S that said I was 5wks2dys preg and they made me do some HCG levels to see if I am miscarrying. These were 3/1- 7148, 3/4 - 10149, 3/8 - 14153, so rising levels but not doubling.
They are making me do repeat tests until they see the #'s fall. I just want to know now and am currently seeking out another doc to do a repeat scan. Has anyone had a similar experience with either a good or bad out come? Should I be concerned about the HCG levels?
I have never miscarried before, terminated a pregnancy on 12/22/09 but, this is my first one

Hi Cami, I don't know if my experience can be any help, and I don't want to worry you at all. Just didn't want to r&r.

I had a mc Jan 2009. I started spotting, but it was mostly brown/ old blood (sorry if TMI) and I was told not to worry. This lasted a few weeks until I had some bad cramping and was referred(sp?) for an emergency scan. This showed the pregnancy was much too small for my dates which I was asked repetedly if I was sure of (I was, we had been TTC). They scanned again a week later, but by then I had experienced some heavy red bleeding and loss of tissue so I was pretty certain everything had come away, which it had.

I have no experience of HG level tests at all, so cant help on those. I don't want to concern you by adding what I went through, just wanted to add my experience.

I was told that brown spotting alone is nothing to worry about (but obv check it out) and it's just when accompanied by cramping or if the blood becomes red/ heavy. I know lots of people who have had brown spotting in early pregnancy and gone on to have a helthy pregnancy and birth.

I hope everything is ok, I'll be thinking of you . Sorry for epic post x

I've had heavyish bleeding for the last 3 days... I have to wait until Wednesday before anybody will even LOOK at me... all because I'm not 6 weeks pregnant I just want to know if this IS a miscarriage... or something different. It's so frustrating and I'm feeling quite depressed atm

However, brown spotting is supposed to be normal

XxX
