I'm Currently Feeling:  | Folic Acid?!?
How much folic acid are you taking a day? One doctor I've seen said to take one Materna pill + a folic acid pill a day. My best friend just got pregnant as well and her doctor said to take it twice a day. Called the clinic at the doctors office and they said to take it twice if you don't eat enough folic acid.
So how many grams of folic acid are you taking in a day?? I'm scared now I haven't been taking in enough |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | I've just been taking a prenatal vitamin with folic acid in it. Doctors never said anything to me about whether this was enough or not, they seemed happy with it |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Okay good. This is going to be something that stresses me out during my pregnancy now that she's pregnant too haha. Her doctor is going to tell her one thing, mine's going to tell me another. Good thing she switches to my doctor after 20 weeks |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hmmm. Maybe the vitamins are adding up to as many grams as my vitamin + the folic acid? Its 2g a day. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | 4mg a day - so one prenatal vitimin a day! Don't take two! If you have any family history with spinal bifida, you need to get a prescribed dose from your doctor, but after 40 days in to your pregnancy it is too late anyway.
I didn't take any because I didn't know and now my baby has SB  |
