The ball can be great for getting the baby into the right position and engaging in the last trimester, but it also helps with your posture and can help spd pains, too. It goes along with the whole 'sleep on your left, don't slouch' thing, but it def. works. Bouncing on the ball can help with Braxton Hicks (and the real deal, so I'm told!). Hope that helps

Just had to tell you my story about the birthing ball. I went to visit the maternity unit when i was around 25 weeks with a group of other mums, anyway they took us to where the birthing pool was and there were some birthing balls there too. The midwife told me to have a go on one of the balls, which i did; unfortunatly it caught on the step around the bath, burst and i ended up like a beached whale on the floor I felt soo stupid!

Wilkinson's do a cheaper version of bio-oil and it works just as well.
