Pregnancy after a loss /progesterone injections?

Hiya Ladies

I just had my first app with my new OB GYN and i love her!

I had an MMC last year in the UK and was told that no investigations would be made unless you have 3 MCs in a row and just to treat the next pregnancy as normal.

Well, i just found out i'm pregnant but now i'm living in the Caribbean and the system is different.....

First Appointment UK:
Dr asked if it was 'a good thing' to be pregnant (i.e. did i want a termination...) and then gave me a leaflet and told me to book a scan / bloods for 12 weeks. Also said, if i did start to miscarry to take myself to bed with a hotwater bottle and give them a call the next day to let them know i was no longer pregnant.

First Appointment Caribbean:
Dr wanted to know every detail of my MMC. I have my medical notes, but she was disappointed at the lack of detail.
Got weighed/ BP test /Chest and stomach exam.
She swabbed me (she said there is a bacteria that can cause MCs and she'd like to rule it out)
Ultra sound as soon as i turn 6 weeks.
Booked in for next appointment with her 2 days later and (presuming the scan looks ok) she will give me a progesterone injection to help speed up placenta development.
As i left she said that if i saw even the teeny tiniest spot of blood to call her immediately. She smiled and said 'let's get you through this first 12 weeks and then you can relax and enjoy your second trimester'.

I LOVE HER!!! I thought i would have to tell her my worries but i didn't get chance as she surpassed my expectations!

So, sorry for rambling, buuuut, have any of you ladies had the progesterone injection? I just googled it and it's supposed to hurt but i don't care about that. I am just keen to know anybody elses experiences with it and also with pregnancy after a loss in general.

Hope you are all having a good day too!

I was looking through all the threads of the last several days and came upon your post.. I, personally, have never had the injections. But, I have had 3 mc's (2 consecutively and 1 after DD #3). First of all, I had a VERY healthy pregnancy after my 2nd mc (all I did differently was Vitamin B6 and prenatals). This time it took me 14 cycles to conceive and b/c of my history of mc my DR put me on progesterone pills (Prometrium). I posted a similar question not too long ago and one of the girls answered and said that she had 2 mc's and when she got her BFP the third time she had the injections and has been able to carry this pregnancy. I'll see if I can dig up the thread for you. Just wanted to say good luck! Hope you have a happy and healthy nine months!!
