just found out & worried sick

Hi all i am new to BnB & have am 30 years old have been with my partner for nearly 13 years we have a 4 year old daughter who we tried 8 years to have we have been trying for 2 years & 1 month for baby number 2 & as a last resort i got some clomid off the internet & took my first dose on 19th january (taking subsiquent pregnancy tests afterwards all negative) period was due 14th february (no show) took another test still negative well today i felt strange (quite queezy) so took a test its POSITIVE!!! so took another 3 in the process all positive :-) but now feel completely in limbo my doctor cant seem me for a few days (who doesnt know i took clomid) so cant have it confirmed dont know if i am (even though tests were positive)

someone please advice me

Hey hun!

First, congrats on your pregnancy!

In my experience (and many others on here) the doctor won't confirm the pregnancy if you have had several positives on hpt's. They will just trust you and tell you to make an appointment with a midwife for about 8 weeks (this differs depending on where you live). The doctor will probably advise you on eating healthily and taking folic acid (which you should be doing

hey lovely thanks so much only (dad) knows :-) im worried sick encase i do another tomorrow & be negative as silly as it sounds!! lol
think im just very overwhelmed & dont know wether to tell my doctor or does she not need to know!!! confused!! thanks for the congratulations :-) hehe <3

A positive is a positive (although I did 9 over 3 days just to be sure!)

If you are newley pregnant, you will be due sometime in November (I think), so I would recommend joining the November Due Dates thread - I am with the October Bumpkins thread and it is soooooooo lovely because there are lots of lovely ladies at a similar stage and going through similar worries or concerns!

I would let your doctor know, because he/she may need to refer you to the midwife (mine did) but again, it depends on your local NHS!

worked out from my last period (started 18th january) & website calculator said 25th october but would have to have a section as my daughter was prem & when had section the stiches burst & left the skin to weak to have natural!!!

ooh im excited but dont know if i should be lol stupid i know!!!

You should be at least a little excited - 3 positive tests don't lie!

If you have any spare tests you could always test again tomorrow, just to make sure!

haha no more spares think might buy some strip ones in the am just for me like (peace of mind) i am more than a little excited

just being cautions & yep i know 4 positive tests dont lie (got them to take to docs when can see her) ooh just wanna burst lol great big smiles :-)
