hi, this is my first post but i've been coming on this website for mosy days for months and have found it very helpful. Just wanted to post my recent experience and hope it may help someone out there. I found out i was pregnant in early march, the next day i started to have bleeding and cramps. Saw the midwife on 26th march who booked an early scan for 28th march and from LMP she thought i was 8 wks. At this point i was still bleeding every day and was worried! Went for the scan (external one) and to my relief we saw a flicker of a heartbeat but they said i was only 6wks but they could see a haemorrage of bleeding next to the baby. Was told to rest which is very hard with a 3 year old!! My bleeding continued and varied everyday from very heavy with clots and pain to spotting. Then on 13th April i was very unwell, severe pain, very, very heavy bleeding and i thought i had lost our baby. So rang the hospital and a scan was arranged for the 16th april. At this scan everyone in the room was very surprised to see a baby on the screen i was in shock! The haemorrage of bleeding had gone and the baby was measuring 9 1/2 weeks so my due date was moved forward, so is only a week behind my original date. I'm now almost 11 weeks and for the past 3 days (touch wood) no bleeding. Although everyones pregnancy is different i just wanted to share my story tp give a bit of hope to others out there. sorry for very long first post!

Congratulations! Let's hope it's plain sailing for you from here on in! I had early bleeding and early scans where our dates were moved back by a couple of weeks, but had 12 week scan yesterday and we were moved forward a week again! Yippee!

Thats a remarkable story, ive heard that bleeding in early pregnancy is common but not to that extent, your baby is a miracle! Take care xx
