Late implantation = Small for dates?

My last period was on the 7th of Jan (27 day cycle); and according to the Clearblue Fertility Monitor and temperature charting via FertilityFriend I ovulated on the 19th of Jan. So using my ovulation date my due date is the 12th of October. Now I had a scan this morning and the little one is measuring 5 days smaller than my date - she measured it three times to check, we saw the heartbeat and things are looking fine I just don't really understand how my dates are wrong by 5 days though The only thing I can think of is that I think I implanted a bit late; 11 days past ovulation as this is when I had a big dip in my temperature. So is it possible that a late implantation would show baby as small for dates....?

Could be either that or bubz just started off growing slow. Doesn't mean anything is wrong though. The 12 week scan will be more accurate as lil bean has had time to catch up and develop as needed.

Or simply you ovulated later than you thought you did or implanted late. So many things! But either way, I wouldn't worry.

I was showing six days behind on an early scan, but on my 12 week scan baby had caught up and was only showing two days behind when I know I conceived xx

the size and development is only a rough estimate. i wouldnt worry too much- with my last pregnancy they could tell gender at 11 weeks (not on a scan...physically- I had a M/C) when the baby books say they arent developing into different genders until later- doc said every baby develops a little bit differently just like every child grows up differently

this is quite comman i was the other way a week ahead but on all my scans ive had 6 but that would mean i concieved while i had my period which is impossible cus we never had sex i think they grow at differant rates and also you can ov a little later than when you get a pos lh surge but everything sounds great so i wouldnt worry xxx
