11 week scan - baby positioned to the left???

I had an emergency scan last night at the hospital. It took her a while to find the baby (she wasn't a proper sonographer) & when she did, the baby was all the way on my left side. So I basically concluded that my uterus sits more on the left hand side..
How normal is that?? I thought it was meant to be positioned in the middle under my belly button? She didn't mention anything about though. Has anyone experienced this?

xxx

when I had my first scan the sonographer didn't go on my right hand side at all and she only went in the middle to get more gel on the scanner thingy to find the baby right on my left hand side, baby has so much room to move at 11 weeks so could be hiding anywhere x

I'm pretty sure where babie sits early on depends on which side you ovulated from.

I am having twins, and both of them are on my left, one behind the other almost.

A full bladder can make a huge difference too. I had to empty mine yesterday half way through my scan, as it was pushing the babies out of the way and the sonographer couldn't see anything.

Thanks everyone, maybe I was being a bit paranoid because I had my 2nd scan yesterday and the baby was in the middle this time lol. Everything seemed fine. Maybe it was because my bladder was full this time.

xxxxxxx

Your bub can implant on the left side of your uterus - though she should have been able to tell you that. Also, I reckon it's reasonable to assume we're not all symetrical. Try not to worry x
