I think at 8 weeks its far too early to be trying a doppler. Some girls cant even hear it at 16 weeks. Dont worry!

I have alexs HB I can find for you so you know what to look for x

the babies heart does beat from 6 weeks but i dont think its easily detectable on a doppler until about 12 weeks. at 8 weeks the baby will still be very very low down by your pubic bone i'd try looking right down low and make sure to angle the doppler in every direction.

even now at 20 weeks i still find it difficult to find sometimes because he/she hides x

Just popping over from 2nd tri. It does sound like it might me your pulse your picking up. I heard baby for the first time at 10 weeks exactly. Really low down too. Babys heartrate will be around 150bpm -alot faster than yours. Best thing to do if you find a hb that you think is baby's - feel your pulse at the same time and see if it's the same rate, that way you'll know if its yours or not.

Good luck, keep trying -it's well worth the wait when you do evetually find it x
