Heartburn Remedies Help PLEASE!!! x

Hey girlies, I am suffering terribly with heartburn at the moment, it only attacks around 8pm every night but lasts until I fall asleep!! It is so uncomfortable and painful all I want to do is lie down!! The morning sickness has eased and this has taken over!! Does anyone know of anything I could try? I've used Gaviscon liquid and tablets and it seems to make it worse! I've also been sipping milk to alleviate it but nothing is giving me any relief.

I'm sure I didn't have heartburn until at least 5 months with DS??! This seems so early!! xxx Any help would be much appreciated xxx

Hey! It's not very nice, but Gaviscon liquid - medicine type stuff works really well & Rennie chewy type things too. Or a glass or milk used to help me a little too.

I suffered really bad with heartburn from around 25 weeks+ with my last 2 babies. I really feel for you

P.S Probably too early for this theory to apply for you, but they say if you get bad hearburn you'll have a baby with lots of hair! Both of mine did!!

Sorry - I just re-read your post! I wasn't paying attention - sorry, my reply was of no use what so ever! Hope you find a solution

Haha, not like a baby monkey hairy I have visions of your picturing 2 little baby monkeys They just loads of hair on their heads :-)

Oooh no, all I can think about is heartburn now

I remember with DD1 I didn't realise there was anything you could take for it, I just used to drink milk all of the time. Then when I was around 36 weeks, I was almost in tears becuase it was driving me mad so sent DH to the chemist to ask them if there was anything I could do to stop it & he came home with Gaviscon - I still cannot believe I suffered for all that time & no-one told me they was actually something you could buy to make it better!!!!!

I've got terrible heartburn too and the doctor actually put some Gaviscon on my prescription for me and that seems to have worked for me

raw almonds help, and are a healthy snack...also papaya digestive enzymes, which you can get at anyplace you find vitamins..they are chewable and taste good.

like the others, the midwife got me the chemists equivalent of pepsibismol. Disgusting stuff but it helped. i can't remember what else helped but it's a killer isn't it?

Hope it passes soon.
