i think also some ladies get quite bloated in first tri, i know i am already!!

im eating less due to sickness but still look very bloated by the end of the day!!

Since a few weeks ago my clothes started to get tight, But not I can't wear my Jeans my belly has grown that much LOL.
I have to wear loose trousers and it won't be long til I am buying maternity clothes.
Could you see if you can go private for a scan, For a dating scan I don't think they are too expensive and it might put your mind at ease hun.

hi thats like me im huge & im 13 weeks today & the amount of people that have said to me no way your further gone than that , they will say either that or your having twins lol, got my scan 2 morro so will see what happens . violet xx

haah my aunt thought it was funny to tell me there were sets of twins in the family that I didn't know about.

I've bought a bella band so that I can leave my jeans open..my fat jeans are actually almost too small now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I was starting to think I was deformed or something.

Maybe you are further along than you think

My last period was only for 2 days instead of 4 plus it was late so my doc said they might send me for my 12wk scan a little early as i could quite well be further along aswell

Some women can still have periods during their pregnancy. I'm 9.5 weeks and i'm huge too. I'm pretty much convinced that i'm much further along than i am (according to my last period). The reason i think i'm further on is because at the end of January, i had to go to the docs coz i was having funny turns, such as hot flushes, feeling sick, extreme fatigue etc. He asked if i was trying for a baby and i said no and he didn't do a test or anything. Instead he took some blood and tested for anemia, diabetes and thyroid problems. All came back clear and by then i felt a bit better. And then mid feb i had a light period. So naturally, the doc has calculated my dates from my last period in feb. But i'll soon find out anyway as i have my scan on 12th May.

I'm sorry to hear your doc wont scan you until 18 weeks. Maybe you could go for a private scan? They are approx £90.

i know i was very bloated and huge in the 1st tri, i thought i was further along or carrying twins! I'm not but since being in 2nd tri it calmed down and i'm showing enough 4 my dates etc!
it may be worth popping into ur docs tho so they could have a feel of ur tum rae! x

aww i think some of us tend to get big quite early, and for some of us we don't show at all

I'm like violet73 i am also big for my dates but then i'm used to it now as i am on baby #9 lol
