Hi. thanks for starting this thread. this is my first pregnancy so I have many questions, more than I'd ever had imagined. i'm due october 25th.
Today I got my first bought of morning sickness. for me it was hard because I was so hungry, tired and weak... but the sight of most foods around the house were making me nauseous. I went out to buy some foods specifically for when this situation occurs. some advice i got was to eat small meals, dry foods, foods high in protein or sugar for energy if you can't keep much down, ginger tea, hot water with lemon, to eat a snack before bed, to eat first thing in the morning (something light like toast) and to sit after eating to keep it down. I'm thinking almonds, crackers and peanut butter will be good snacks. i'm also sleeping constantly but i've pretty much given up on trying to fight it because it's not much fun to be out and about and very weak and of course my breasts are sore.
I had cramps but they've passed but I read this is normal for several more weeks even. I also read exercising is okay so if you were exercising before and somehow still have the energy, go for it. i'm going to try, i like to average 30 min a night, but lately i'm too exhausted.
soooo, that's my experience so far.
some of my questions would be when should I go to the doctor for the first visit. I'm very curious about the gender and I want to know asap but i know i won't know until 16 weeks, that's a good ten weeks from now. can i wait? are there important tests i'm missing out on by not going sooner? i feel pretty normal for first trimester and i'm reading about the baby all of the time. sounds like from reading first dr. appointments can be uneventful. what do you think about me waiting. i'll be on vacation for the next week and can't decide how soon after i should schedule an appointment. also i read a lot of doctors saying it is okay (when due to ms) for women to lose weight first trimester. is it true this won't affect the baby. i've lost 2 lbs and it worries me sicker!

Morning everyone.

Hope you dont mind a newbie joining you.

Im new to this but like you am due end of October - 28th with the first little one, which is 4 days after my first wedding anniversary.

Im so glad this thread is here, at least now, I wont be driving myself crazy wondering if what Im experiencing is normal or not.

So far so good, havent been sick yet, but Im not ruling anything out.

Any tips on how to keep this whole thing quiet, I havent told anyone other than DH and the Doctor - oh and now you lot

Hope everyone is doing well today!

Hi everyone i'm due on the 30th October, this is my second pregnancy. My son is 8 years old so been a while since i've done this! My son was born with a cleft lip that wasn't detected before he was born so am a bit dubious about that. But he's gorgeous anyway so if this one is born with one at least I know what to do!

I've been so moody much to my partners disgust and i can't shake it, I feel so sorry for him. And i'm also craving carbs all the time. Which isn't good since I do the slimming world diet. I spoke to my midwive and dr about this and they have said its great that im continuing with it and that it's all good for the baby.

Good luck to everyone it's great to read what everyone else is going through and to get the reassurance that im sure we all need!

Hi Everyone-
I've been having off and on nausea, but nothing too extreme. Same with the tiredness- I'm definitely tired, but not fall down at 8pm tired...

Last night I started to have some weird pains in my pelvic area- kind of like a spot of pain right at my pelvic bone on the left side. It's not quite like cramps. Anyone had anything like this? I guess it could just be another symptom of my uterus stretching and making room, but I hate not knowing what's going on in there!

Hi there,

I am due 24/10.

I have had cramps (although not so bad now), tiredness, nausea - no vomiting, headaches, sore boobs and back. I also had spotting between 4 and a half and 5 and a half weeks and again last weds. For that reason i had an early scan last monday at 6+1 and saw Gestational sac & yolk sac but no heartbeat, they said it was v early. I am going back tomorrow at 7+2 and by then you should see a heartbeat.

Good luck to you all ladies xx
