Question about discharge

Hi Ladies, i know that CM increases during pregnancy but it has been really bad for me recently, where im having to change my underwear twice a day. It feels like im wetting myself sorry if tmi, but even a pantyliner is no good at times. Should i be concerned?? Its not discoloured or smelly just seems to be a lot, any advice would be great x

I think this is normal, I know over the last few weeks I've had a lot more discharge than normal! It always seems to be there when I wipe regardless of whether I thought it was there or not... if that makes sense!

Thanks louise, ive heard some stories thats all about having a lot of discharge, i thought it was probably normal. Just a pain hate feeling damp all day lol

there is increased discharge in pregnancy to keep infections away. the discharge is just keeping your cervix and vagina nice and clean

Hi pigginteacher, I had this too between 5-6 weeks, and I mean loads - I felt that there was a constant stream of it - it didn't smell either, looked clear when I wiped but stained yellow. That said I had a small bit of spotting too from 5+6 till 6+2 on and off and only the odd time when I wiped. The doc thought I might have had an infection although I had not other symptoms (e.g. stinging when peeing etc). Well I did pee more often but that's to be expected anyway. I took a course of antibiotics and it seems that I have less discharge and I haven't had spotting since last week. (fingers crossed). I read also that if you have a uti you can sometimes spot. Anyway, I would probably just go to the gp and get them to test your urine just to be on the safe side. It's probalby nothing though as ur discharge does tend to increase during pregnancy, but thought I'd mention what I had just in case. Good luck

I was having a TON of white creamy/lotiony CM for the last several weeks. I am just as far along as you but it seems mine has decreased some over the last few days. If it did I'd be glad because I, like you, am tired of feeling "wet"!!! lol

I've had an increase discharge over the last few weeks too, but i was thinking of gettin it checked just incase. As my best friend also had it wen she was pregnant n she had an infection n dr's prescribed somethin for her n got rid of it.

Annie, i just had my uring tested last week and it was all clear so i dont think its a uti, if it persists i will speak to my midwife. Thanks ladies for all the advice x

I have read the yellow staining is from an increase in progesterone.
Also, I think you get alot of discharge early on - when the mucus plug is forming.
I remember from previous pregnancies - running to the loo as thought af had come!
