I'm getting slightly peeved now. Since I found put I was pregnant at 3+4!!! I've been to the doctors/midwife 4 times. First time to inform doc I was pregnant, he told me to make appointment with midwife asap which I done, went back to see her to which she told me it was to soon to see her so make appointment for 22nd Feb when I'll be 8/9 weeks. Went for appointment last Monday - she couldn't get there due to snow! Made another appointment for today, get there & midwife is on study day so I see the stand in midwife who says "have you got your notes?" no I haven't got my bloody notes coz I've had no notes to complete!!!! She took my weight, height & bp 157/90 (to high) & takes my number so my midwife can arrange a home appointment in the next week. I still haven't had my bloods done. No urine tests. No nothing. Just pointless trips to & from the docs! I'm 10 weeks 2 days & nothing at all has been done yet. For all they know I could be lying about being pregnant as noone has even checked! It's driving me mad now - I just want it all confirmed & start the ball rolling...

i was 11 weeks before i had my booking appointment, and before then i hadn't even seen a doctor! just told them over the phone that i was pregnant. don't fret, i know it's tough waiting around but unfortunately that's all you do at this stage. once you've had your booking appointment it's just another wait until you get your scan date letter, then another wait for the scan, then another wait for your next midwife appointment.. all very boring

aw thats frustrating for you
they won't check a pregnancy test though, even when you have your booking in, bloods, urine etc. they do just take your word for it.
normal time frame for booking in is 8-12 weeks, so you are still within the right time
hope you hear from them soon

I had my notes filled at at 10 weeks but did not have bloods or urine or BP checked till i had my scan. I had a home visit for my notes. No one checks your pregnant ,they take your word for it.Intill you have your scan anyway.

hey luv, like the others say, don't panic... it is very frutrating hanging around.

i don't have my booking in appt until I'm 12+2... same time as i get my scan. Here they do it all at same time. Big 3 hour appointment where they do your scan and then your bloods and stuff altogether (so i'm told anyway) ... so it really does feel like an awful long time to be left with no confirmation or reassurance or anything.

dont worry it's actually between 8-12 weeks you have first booking appt and between 8-14 for first scan. My booking appointment is soon but i will be 12 weeks 2 days - the wait is awful and ive known for 4 weeks when my appt is but now its coming up im really scared!!

they are such a pain in the beginning I didn't regularly start seeing a midwife on a regular basis until 28 weeks! I hated that they just kind of left us to it! Home visit should be alright though hun and then you will get your scan! Good luck!

I haven't had mine yet either. I'm waiting for the midwife to call me and arrange an appointment
