Can you use the "Nub Theory" with a 4D Scan Image?

So I'm very excited to get my scan image on Monday the 1st to post here and have you ladies do your magic gender predictions with the "nub theory," seems to be real accurate. But can you do it with a 4D image? I don't know much about either to be honest, but have been looking forward to this ultrasound for this reason...

Locally, they won't do a 4d scan until you are further along for greater detail but it varies from place to place. Can't say I've heard anything about the nub theory on a 4d scan though. Would be interesting to know.

Yeah, I don't know why but the ultrasound I'm getting on Monday at 12 weeks 4 days is a 4D, and to be honest I've never seen an ultrasound done at 12 weeks in 4D, I'm curious if you can tell the gender....Guess I'll just have to find out! I will most definetly be posting pics Monday either way. : )

Ooh now I've heard that some folks are told the gender at 13 weeks, I sure hope you can see it. I'll be lookin out for the pic on Monday for sure.

Silly me, I posted a whole new thread titled, "Scan at 12 weeks 6 days, 2D and 4D pictures." (Or something close to it) I should have posted pics here, but I'm on my cell phone now, and I have the pics saved to my computer at home. I wasn't brave enough to ask for a nub view, and I didn't get a clear shot of anything in the legs area because the baby was bouncing and rolling so much, the pics are even blurry, lol. It was a great experience, though!
