The GP who did my son's vaccine informed me that I should wait until after my 1st scan before having it done. Samuel suffered no real side effects except for a few days later, touching his leg made him scream in pain, but it only lasted a day. My sis had the vaccine and her arm was sore for a week, so sore she woke up in pain if she accidentially lay on it.

I posted on this on another forum a couple of days ago. I'm only 4 +1 so wasn't sure about the vaccine. I spoke to my GP who thinks I should have it and there's no reason not to as none of the drug crosses over to baby (or cells as my little one will still be at the mo!!).

I don't know how it works in 'healthy' people - I guess you'd get called for it in your 2nd trimester but if you ask at your surgery I'm sure they'd give you the vaccine if you want it.
